Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium Strategy Statement details our school’s use of pupil premium funding to help improve the attainment of our disadvantaged pupils. It outlines our pupil premium strategy, how we intend to spend the funding in this academic year and the effect that last year’s spending of pupil premium had within the school. The strategy is for a three year cycle and will be reviewed on a yearly basis.
The additional funding is designed to diminish the difference between students from disadvantaged families and their peers, where this exists. Schools can choose how to target these additional funds in order to meet the needs of students at risk of under-achieving based on their circumstances.
Pupil Premium Strategy 2025-26
At Vittoria, the impact of all interventions, initiatives, and the overall Pupil Premium strategy is carefully monitored through half-termly pupil progress meetings and more frequent pit stop pupil progress meetings, reinforced by half-termly book scrutinies. This constant evaluation uses pre- and post-assessment data to track the performance and progress of individual pupils and specific groups including those receiving targeted intervention, booster sessions and tutoring.
Summative assessment data is also rigorously analysed for these groups. Senior Leaders regularly discuss Pupil Premium data in a triangulated manner to ensure ongoing support is effective and to monitor impact comprehensively. The monitoring process is further reviewed through Senior Leadership Meetings and is subject to external review periodically with our School Improvement Partner and the Governing Body. The academic outcomes for our disadvantaged pupils are consistently compared against all pupils nationally, ensuring a commitment to narrowing the attainment gap.
